SKU: LU291638244403

Fantastic leather lounge chair made from hand-stitched top grain leather on a swivel base designed by H. W. Klein for Bramin Mobler in Denmark in the 1960s. This chair is the essence of quality, style and luxury. Sturdy and comfortable. In excellent condition. The leather remains supple showing the appropriate patina and wear for a 50-year-old chair. Designer Henry Walter (H.W.) Klein was born in Norway in 1919 but moved to Denmark to study interior design under the prominent Danish designer and architect Finn Juhl. His chairs, tables and sideboards are characteristic of the postwar Danish modern style, typically involving Fine woods like teak and well proportioned, well crafted forms. In the 1960s Klein worked full time for Bramin Mobler one of the top makers in the middle of the century.
