Locations
Pick up locations vary from auction to auction. Location is noted in the auction description and also listed in the email buyers receive when invoices are sent. If you are unsure please refer to the auction description or call the office.
Pick-up in Person
Regular hours for pick up are: Monday – Friday, from 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Please bring your own packing materials. We can not guarantee onsite help to assist with moving large items. All items must be picked up in their designated location, we can not transport items.
Westport Auction does not have weekend hours, and we are unable to accommodate any request to pick up on the weekend.
Note: Connecticut sales tax of 6.35% must be added to your invoice when picking up merchandise in person unless you have a valid resale number on file or a hired shipper is collecting your items.
Shipping and Delivery
As the buyer, you are responsible for arranging the pick up or delivery/shipment of all items purchased. Packaging of the item(s) must be handled by the shipper or individual collecting the item(s).
Westport Auction has an established relationship with a variety of third party shippers who will provide shipping quotes and services for your item(s).
The designated pickup window for each auction is advertised prior to each auction. These dates are located in each lot description/condition and on all invoices. Storage fees will be applied to all items not picked up in the designated pickup window.
A separate payment to the shipping company will be necessary, as shipping is a transaction between you and your chosen shipper.

Shipping By Westport Auction
Westport Auction offers an experienced and professional in-house shipping department to simplify our customer’s shipping needs. You may now pay for your items and shipping in one convenient transaction through our in-house shipping department. Our team of experts specializes in shipping fine art, elaborate sculptures, delicate antiques, and other one-of-a-kind items.
If you would like to utilize our In-house shipping service, please email us after the sale with your confirmed address so we can provide you with an accurate quote. Once you receive your quote, please respond via email whether you would like to proceed. Once it is confirmed, we will send you an updated invoice with he shipping fee added.
We ship using UPS or USPS via our in-house shipping department. Please allow a minimum of10 business days after payment to safely pack and ship your items.

For Private Carriers or International Shipping
For buyers with private UPS/FedEx/USPS accounts or alternate shipping arrangements, we can provide a pack-only quote. The buyer would then email us their shipping label to [email protected]
For buyers who wish to use private insurance or wish to not insure their items, we will deduct the insurance cost from your total.
For shipment of furniture and oversized items that we do not offer in-house shipping, we recommend using a third-party shipping company. Please see below for suggested shippers to ship larger items unavailable for our in-house shipping services.
Shipping Larger Items
Freight is for furniture, fine art, bulky or odd shaped items that exceed allowable dimensions or weight of UPS, FedEx and similar carriers.
